Planet Urine Reviews: Planet Urine Product Review Roundup
Here at Planet Urine Reviews, we’ve tested and reviewed quite a few of Planet Urine’s various products by now. We thought it might be helpful to provide a brief overview and summary for those of you new to Planet Urine Reviews in case you want to tell at a glance the Planet Urine products that will suit your needs.
Broadly speaking, Planet Urine’s products fall into 2 categories: urine stain prevention and urine stain removal. Obviously prevention is deal, but this is not always possible, in which case you need to remove the damage.
Urine Prevention Products
Planet Urine’s prevention products come in all shapes and sizes, ranging from diapers to training systems to electronic devices to scented cat litter that makes your cats WANT to properly use the litter box.
Cat Attract Herbal Attractant Litter
The Cat Attract Herbal Attractant Litter works by making your cats actually like their litter boxes - it has a scented fragrance that attracts cats. It worked so well that one of ours actually started sleeping in her litter box!
Disposable Pet Diapers can be attached to your cat or dog like a baby diaper. Planet Urine’s patented tape solution makes it easy to stick on despite the pets’ abundant hair. We here at Planet Urine Reviews had good success with this one and liked it quite a lot.
The Animal Scranimal is an electronic device that scares pets away from specific areas in your house and prevents urine stains there by emitting high-pitched beeps that deter cats and dogs from entering. This one can be good if you have a very wide and elongated house, but be careful as each device is $40 and you may not have the optimal architecture to make use of it.
“Gotta Go” Doorbell Training System
A training system that makes dogs ring their bell whenever they have to urinate, the Doorbell Training System is an interesting idea but the Planet Urine Reviews staff experienced mixed results. It’s greatly dependent on your dog’s training experience and personality.
Urine Stain Removal Products
The Prove It! Kit is great for basic urine stain removal. And with the 30-day money-back guarantee, you can’t go wrong.
Removing Stains From Hardwood Floors
This is more of an instruction set than a product, but Planet Urine’s guide to removing stains from hardwood floors is useful for beginners. If you have serious stains, though, we recommend hiring the professionals and getting their services.
Godzilla Buster With Blacklight
The Godzilla Buster With Blacklight is perfect for gigantic stains and odors throughout multiple rooms of your house. It is a great value for the price, but make sure you really need it before buying it!
The UrineOut Powder is quite good for basic urine stain removal tasks, and has the added benefit of being a dry removal product, so you never have to worry about messy water or other related issues.
Other Urine Removal Products
If you’re in the market for other urine removal products and want to shop around, we highly recommend checking out Urine Off Reviews, a great resources for all the urine removal products in the universe out there.

Planet Urine Reviews: “Gotta Go” Doorbell Training System

Planet Urine Reviews: “Gotta Go” Doorbell Training System
At Planet Urine Reviews, one of our favorite themes is prevention: why even bother with cleaning up after your pet and removing dried urine stains and odors from carpets and other surfaces in your house when you can prevent it from happening in the first place? Planet Urine’s “Gotta Go” Doorbell Training System is yet another product from Planet Urine that meets your needs by offering training methods for your pet (most likely a dog) to prevent him or her from ever soiling your house again.
The “Gotta Go” Doorbell Training System kit includes the following items:
- Instructional DVD
- Easy-to-read Instruction Manual
- Easy Ring Bell
The basic idea here is that you can train your dog to ring a bell attached to his neck like a collar to signal when he wants to go outside and do his business, rather than doing it in your house and making your interior reek of urine.
The advice in the DVD is solid but a bit basic if you’ve had any experience training or owning dogs for a long time. Nevertheless, the bell and signaling idea is quite novel, and for $19.95 and a 30-day money-back guarantee, you can’t really complain too much.
Overall, Planet Urine Reviews had mixed results at best when we applied the training tactics found on the DVD and in the instruction manual to our household’s own dog. While the instructions and training did reduce the frequency of urine stains and odors in our house, they didn’t help us to eliminate it entirely.
The big missing piece here is that the effectiveness of the training depends in large part upon your dog’s personality and own history of training. If he’s never been obedient, the chances of him successfully ringing a bell whenever he has to go to the bathroom are quite low.
Your mileage may vary, but Planet Urine Reviews believes it’s worth a shot if you have an obedient pet.

Planet Urine Reviews: The Animal Scranimal

Planet Urine Reviews: The Animal Scranimal
In keeping with Planet Urine Reviews‘ theme of urine stain prevention rather than stain and odor removal, one of Planet Urine’s newer products is the Animal Scranimal. I have to admit, I was pretty skeptical when I first came across this product on the Planet Urine website: it seemed like it was a joke and there was no way it could actually work. I mean, a device that actually keeps your cats and dogs out of rooms you don’t want them to go into? That seemed too good to be true.
Animal Scranimal works via perimeter control: it is automatic and emits an audible sounds that has been shown to work extremely well with deterring cats from approaching. It uses heat and motion detectors to sense pets as they cross the boundary into off-limit areas, and when they do, it emits a series of high-pitched beeps that only your pet can hear. Apparently the pet also associates the area with the high-pitched, unpleasant noises and stays away from there in the future as well.
Animal Scranimal is also safer than ultrasonic products which may do permanent damage to your pet. It can detect pets from up to 15 feet away and can cover a 10 foot by 3 foot area - best for hallways and not as good for open areas like kitchens and bedrooms.
Overall, Planet Urine Reviews had mixed results when we tried out the Animal Scranimal. The nice part about it is that it’s completely passive once you set it up, aside from occasionally replacing the batteries when they run out. You just set it up, leave it there and your pets will be scared away… theoretically.
We ran into 2 problems while using it: 1) it only works well for long, narrow areas and 2) objects in the room have a tendency to block the sensors and signals of the device.
Another downside is that it will cost you $40 per device you own, which can add up in a large house.
If you have a fairly empty house without too many obstructions, Animal Scranimal can work very well. But before buying it, you should survey your house and make sure you won’t be spending too much money on the devices, and make sure you have the optimal architecture to make use of it.
